Theen Fida was an Anx Jedi Knight during the time the Jedi Council adorned members such as the famous Mace Windu and Yoda, as well as Saesee Tiin and Plo Koon. Theen was apprenticed to the Aleena Jedi Master Tsui Choi, and the two made an excellent team considering both Knights' affinity for water. Theen and his diminutive Master were once chosen to be part of a team to investigate the uprising of some recent additions to the Republic, the hulking Yinchorri. Not long after this species was added to the Republic, the Yinchorri obtained an impressive amount of firepower and began running raids on outlying colonies.

Senior Jedi Council member, Mace Windu, sent two Jedi Knights, Naeshahn and her Padawan Ebor Taulk, to deal with the Yinchorri accordingly. Underestimating the strength of the ferocious species, it was clear to the Council more force was needed. Assembling a team of twelve Jedi, Theen and Tsui were chosen, along with Jedi Masters Adi Gallia and Eeth Koth, to travel to the Yinchorri planet of Yitheeth, a planet of shallow seas. With the three teams given their missions, the Jedi left for the Yinchorri system to locate their headquarters.

As soon as Theen and the Jedi emerged from hyperspace, they were attacked by Yinchorri pilots in formidable starfighters. Barely managing to escape them, the teams continued on to their assigned planets, some with the loss of their starcraft. Landing the ship in the shallow seas of Yitheeth not too far from the main city, Tsui Choi, Theen, Eeth Koth, and Adi Gallia were ready to locate the Yinchorri headquarters. Undercover that they were looking to purchase some expensive technology, the Jedi made their way into the heart of Yinchorri territory.
